Rabada is going to England to experience different conditions and new environments, so it matters little where he goes other that it being a right fit for him personally, I am also not sure that all counties have the resources or capacity to pull him in in which is essentially them just giving it a shot.

It is a short stint though.

Think it's a good thing Rabada is going to the UK for a bit. Pity he's not going for a full season, but this will only be good for his cricket.

Does anyone think he chose Kent because of its proximity to London?

No, I think Kent was probably one of the few places that would take him on for only a month... I assume swapping between international players is not easy for the counties and are restricted on who and when they can sign players. I actually hope CSA are intelligent (oxymoron I know) and let him play on in the UK to gain experience rather than bring him back for the largely pointless ODI series against Aus (who we just played against in WI tri-series). Absolutely pointless scheduling.

Fair enough.

Doubt CSA will leave him out of the side for Australia. I agree with your reasoning but I think in the current climate it will be difficult to leave out your ownly black ODI regular. Even if it's for excellent long-term cricketing reasons.

What in the name of flying balls are the south africans wearing

AB keeping, England batting is the toss news

England are playing their supposed best XI, but no Vince or Billings. It's the ODI lineup

I was much more alarmed that the best XI supposedly contains Jordan than the batting, but Finn isn't playing this series and Jordan is the only other quick in the WT20 squad so I guess this isn't new information.

That shot down the ground was the dog's bollocks

It's possible that Hales draws power from grout

Not the most glamorous superpower I know

Nice wicket for Rabada.... good slower ball. His control, variation and intelligence shown for a young man of 20 is impressive..

Excellent start by Eng though...
