Seriously speaking, how far is Broad away from being the #1 bowler in the world right now?
With the Steyn injuries and the Philander injuries then he is close. Nobody would claim he is better than Steyn apart from the Steyn of now who can't get on the park so he is in the discussion. Probably the most destructive bowler at present. Gets on a roll more often now and does an Ambrose.

Well if I was quite literally picking a team for tomorrow I think he'd have to be first picked because all of his realistic competition are injured, still just coming back from injury or Anderson who I think he's eclipsed now. If we assume full fitness then there's no way I'd pick him over Steyn though.
