I seriously doubt it. I can't say that I know much about Junaid Zia or Riaz, but Shabbir would be a terrible pitcher. He's slow enough with the chucking added on to the run-up. He couldn't pitch faster than the mid-80s, and surely doesn't have anything in the way of a curveball, slider, or knuckleball.

The only Pakistani I know of who might be good at baseball is Shahid Afridi.

Snide remarks by nehrafan about Pakistan 'pitchers' aside, when Shabbir first arrived on the scene, he was apparently bowling 90+ miles per hour. It's been the corrections made to his action which have slowed him down quite a bit.

I think its also his confidence that is slowing him down alot too, He must feel almost 'scared' to go full out incase he does throw. Obviously he has major problems that even with slowing himself down he still throws.
