Don't forget the pinnacle on knuckle-headed-ness, which was Andrew Flitoff's shot.
Unlike (seemingly) the majority of idiots on here who take it upon themselves to blame one player or another for the failings of the side, I don't, and never will apart from Rampers (someone to trawl my previous posts for where I have done in 5....4....3....).

I'm taking the rise out of SP, because he deserves it for being a one-dimensional 'supporter' with no sense of humour.

Regarding this game, my first thought was 'Well played Pakistan', my second was 'What a great game', my third was 'how did we lose that?'

I'm old, I've seen it all before and I hope I'll live to see it all again. I half expected this result - remember yesterday's CW headline - Pakistan in with a shout?

No, he's got a point. You never seem to be able to give credit where it's due. Pakistan obviously played very well to defend such a modest score.

Oh really they're playing one Test series now are they? Who won the first Test and ended up losing 2-1 again?
I believe that was Australia in the 2005 Ashes Series.

You can thank me for the homie hookup later.

Well done Pak! Some dodgy batting from our chaps at times, but fair play to Pak they really stuck their hands up today, good to see. Can't wait for Sunday, I think we're going to come back very very hard.

Pakistan played extremely well and deserved to win. Danish was immense- seriously classy player. If Vaughan isn't fit I would drop Colly, although I rate him in ODIs (who doesn't?) his test career just isn't meant to be. I would replace him with Cook, for two reasons; 1) He is the best young batsman in the country (slight bias) and 2) Because Danish plays for Essex Cook will have faced him a lot in the nets and he destroyed MacGill during his 214.

ust goes to show that all these people who say that Pakistan are "unpredictible" (brilliant one day, horrible the next) are so far off the mark, and need to update their assessment. In my view, Pakistan are a pretty ordinary team, who don't have much heart.
I think it is you sir, who needs to update their assessment on Pakistan. Egg on your face? Maybe wait 5 days next time before making such a criticising comment on a whole cricket team?
I did try to warn him... :nono:

Anything short of a 3-0 victory in this series would seem to be a failure, according to most England supporters' pre-series thoughts. And let's see how the next two tests go. As for England throwing the match away rather than Pakistan winning it - England probably wouldn't have been in a position to throw it away had it not been for another enormous stroke of luck. Pakistan had to work hard, especially in their second innings, in order to overcome the Trescothick innings and a poor showing in their first innings.

Oh come on mate. Every person in this thread who's familiar with your posting habits knew that, win or lose, you'd blame the English batsmen if England struggled. You do exactly this every time anything goes against England... belittle the achievements of the opposition while talking up England (or those English players you happen to like) regardless of the circumstances.

Isn't it funny that everyone else recognises that Shoaib and Kaneria were superb, while you blame it all on poor batting?
You don't expect the bowlers to get all the runs do you? I couldn't give a stuff how Pakistan bowled, if England's batsmen had performed anything like what they should have they'd have gotten that target comfortably - so it's pretty obvious who's to blame.

This interview with Inzy is unreal. It's Urdu with random bits of English thrown in.. "fight back quality" "fighting spirit "positive results" "last day" "one ninety-seven" "pressure"... sounds like an extra in Star Wars...

I heard that - but I thought that the chin music was coming next ball. It takes a lot of courage and commitment to produce a slower ball when you've just been biffed for two boundaries.

That's why he is one of the best bowlers in the world..and infact that is one reason why I like Pakistani bowlers..they are not afraid to attack even when they are tonked around...

A shout-out from Inzamam to the Multani crowd and people. :D

Cool.

Basically, he reckoned that the turning point today was the fall of three quick wickets.. (Bell, Strauss, Collingwood) which spurred his bowlers to unleash their very best.

Ramiz Raja asked about the 'fighting spirit' Pakistani team has been displaying of late (India, this series, to some extent against the Australians) and Inzamam attributed it to the injection of younger blood in the team - the spirit and commitment they displayed were phenomenal.

He was generally full of praise for the bowlers and their effort. No word on the short-comings of the batsmen though.

Seeing as about 5 people quoted your response and just laughed at how pathetic you are, I think you should take a look at the mirror.

Deer old predictable Scaly, how I pity you. Poor bugger :(

:D
