What the **** are england doing lmao? 15 from that wagner over and pope's batting like it's a t20. They do realise there's 3 days still in the test right?

this is probably the best option. if they want to play high risk cricket, give them the opportunity. old and slow wagner has a chance at controlling the game still if he can keep giving just one shot option.

Probably going to be proven wrong, but am glad Root has got off to a tricky start, might make him concentrate a bit more, yesterday it all seemed too easy.

Swings and roundabouts for the ageing opening bowler Neil Wagner, firstly picking off the dangerous ‘Nighthawk’, but then having his tripe (and onions) pulverised by a real batsman. Won’t be much shine left on that pink ball at this rate, but ‘pecking order’ is everything and Tickner can cool his jets while the ‘senior man’ gives England some gifts.

Wags ‘wicket taking success’ in this test reminds me of Southee’s on the last BC’s tour of Australia: batsmen getting themselves out chasing quick runs rather than any skill and guile of the bowler.

England embrace a marauding ‘Nighthawk’ concept, NZ embrace a stodgy and predictable conservatism which leads to embarrassing outcomes. The gulf between the two mindsets is as wide as the Grand Canyon.

Even though our ageing, injury struck side is getting rekt right now I'm glad they're still a team that's so easy to support because they full of just such good bl....oh, oh no Gavin and Gary, did you forget the meme you hide behind?
