Well, Trott, Bell and Root scored at much the same rate for starters, so Trott isn't solely responsible either way you see it. It could've been faster but they set England up to make 280-290. Take 30 off for poor batting at the end by the lower order they were supposedly setting it up for, and maybe take another 30-off for none of Trott/Bell/Root either scoring faster or going on with it.
