***Official*** England in New Zealand series 2013

So quick he felt he needed to get halfway down the pitch to counter it?

But he was taking a risk or two nearly every over, and going at just under 5 an over himself. If Trott had been going at the same rate, or even just slightly quicker than he did, it wouldn't have taken the scoring rate pressure off. Bell had hit 22 off his previous 14 deliveries, and England were still only going at 4 an over.
You're saying Bell had to rush/panic, yet Trott has continued batting in an eminently predictable fashion and is now scoring at an acceptable rate. Nothing wrong with one bloke getting 60(80), the others should be good enough to bat around that.

Oh rubbish, it was a wide ball, that he had to go at, and he played a gash shot, honestly this is getting silly, as i said, would he have felt any less pressure if there were a number of wickets down with a iffy batting line-up.

Fair, but it's easy to say in hindsight. Trott gets out on 30 off 60 and we're looking at it differently, and that's probably why Bell felt the need to charge Franklin when he did.

For a team who are only two down, this all seems a little ponderous. It doesn't look that difficult for batting.
