***Official*** England in New Zealand series 2013

i went away for a moment and another wicket fell!

Disappointed in 443 from where we were. Doesn't have the imposing look of 500+ and still gives England a small chance of winning the match and therefore something to play for.
That could be a good thing, more wickets will be forthcoming if England try to score runs instead of continuing to grind out the draw

I like the swing Southee's getting, even if his line and length are not quite right so far.

That one was good.

Southee is unbelievably frustrating. Any gap in cricket sets him back from SL style bowling to square one where he bowls slightly too short and slightly too wide with his action slightly out every ****ing time.

**** the economy rate, keep pitching it up and they'll eventually get one in the right place.

Compton can't deal with the swing.

Southee just needs to find that offstump/fourth-stump line more consistently
And when he tries to start the ball closer in it ends up legside and is hit for runs - typical swing bowler's dilemma.

Disagree with Bahnz that Boult has been awful - he's been a little inconsistent while looking for swing but has bowled a few testing deliveries. Whereas Southee is relying on the batsman to play at one outside off that he doesn't need to (and hasn't bowled an off-cutter that might put doubt in the batsman's mind either).

nah I don't care about them searching. There are runs in the bank and swing on offer.

Keep the off-cutter as a surprise too. The natural variation should put doubt in the mind of the batsmen anyway.

nah Trott will leave those for 3 overs. Need to get it closer in and pitch it up even more.

Outswinging half volleys are perfect in this stage of the match.
