**Official** England in New Zealand 28 Nov-18 Dec 2024 - 3 Tests

International Coach
O'Rourke to Brook should have been the plan 100% of the time this series, bowling from both ends 100 overs a day.

I said it straight away in ChCh and it has not changed.
What's counter to players who like to stay beside the ball and free their arms

definitely not 140kph inswing into the crotch

King Kane

International Regular
Getting some nice swing though. Really he just needs to keep it in a good area and bottle up that end while O'Rourke goes to work at the other.
So in other words he needs to play the Chatfield foil role with O'Rourke playing the Hadlee striker role.

A bit of justification there for all of us who think Cherrington is a hack.

Of course, completely discounting any score he makes over 10 helps our argument.

Just have O'Rourke and Henry rotating from one end and Santner bowling with a defensive field.

Southee can be specialist outfield catcher.
