Jeez you'd have to hope that this is a reinvigoration for Blundell, as this is an otherwise useless knock that will otherwise extend his career for another year.
Yeah, played a very similar innings in SL earlier this year in a low intensity situation when the match was already lost. Stead however will in all likelihood be gone by the next time NZ play a series so I do still think Blundell will need to back this up with a score in a live situation next week if he's to hold his place.

Lol, Harmison: "It's hit them! That's hit the stumps really hard!"

Replay clearly shows the ball missed the stumps by a couple of inches.

Gower, covering for his mate: "Er yes, you're right."

Fox Sports have decided to **** up the last five minutes and show the Women's ODI on two channels at once and this game on neither.

Mitchell hasn't been at his best but don't think he's coming under any scrutiny anytime soon tbh
Yeah, Mitchell probably under the least pressure. Latham is also not likely to have to worry about his place for at least another year now that he's captain.

Lol, love this from Blundell. Just camp down that end and slog the 21 yo spinner on a typical "spin isn't real" Basin deck.

Unfortunately it would’ve been better for NZ long term if Blundell had failed here. He may save his career and I hope he gets back to his old form again but it seems unlikely.

Great to see Nathan stick it to the posh boys for a bit.
