**Official** England in New Zealand 28 Nov-18 Dec 2024 - 3 Tests

Carse is a lock now for the side going forwards.

Be interesting to see what the ‘first choice’ attack looks like next summer. Woakes remains imperious at home but they likely won’t take him to Oz so with one eye on that is Atkinson/Wood/Carse the first choice seam attack, if Wood is fit? None of them are really ‘new ball’ bowlers. I know that’s the role Atkinson has performed, but.

Really hard to remember a harder beating than this. Even the 2nd test in SL we made a decent fist of our 2nd innings.

Damn I came the toilet and missed a wicket. Don’t think I’ll have any cricket to watch tomorrow night huh

The rain is probably the only thing that might help us survive the day, it would just be delaying the inevitable though.

Rachin really wanted to play a dominant innings but just the wrong ball, that extra bounce.
Wrong approach trying to save a test match, but writing was probably already on the wall.

Can't see any positives for the BCs from this performance against a below par English side. Still some of the English youngsters look the business

It’s something to consider, but I don’t think who out of your bowlers will open is as important a consideration as who out of your batters will open, after all, if you’re a bowler who bowls in the right areas consistently, you’ll get wickets and you’ll stop the oppo from scoring

There is also Tongue, Atkinson, Carse and Stokes. The other two bowlers could be Hull and Potts or Wood and Archer.
Carses' average is now 15.28, roughly six wickets every Test
