Almost unbelievably, this is just the third time a six has been scored in the first over of a test match. Chris Gayle did it twice in the same (first) over v Bangladesh in 2012 (off the 1st and 4th balls).

Henrys average must be very close to dropping below southee's just shows the contrast in performance considering Henry's was around 50 a few years ago

There’s a lot to be said for putting tbe pressure on tbe bowlers by attacking them from tbe get go, but there’s a time and a place, and neither of them are when your buddy has just been removed for a duck

Absolutely- no issue with proactively looking to manoeuvre a field or bowler around, and if you’re gonna go at one go hard- however to your point he just can’t seem to sit still or trust he can get through the new ball.

Hopefully he has a bit of fortune and settles into a rhythm. He’s got bucket loads of talent but it’s in the mind where he just needs that calmness and let the game come to him a bit.
