England gonna get a through examination here with this new ball.

Great length from Henry in this early spell.

If England don’t leave well we could very quickly be 30/4 with the new ball, imperative England dig in.

Greetings all.

Good ball by Henry, excellent catch!

Strange Santner and Young didn't get included for this one given the sameness of the attack and batting issues last test.

With inserting I think New Zealand need at least 3 wickets pre lunch

and to bowl England out for around 250 or better

We are kind of wasting the new ball, giving Crawley a good sighter. O'Rourke should have opened up with Henry.

Reported on Cricinfo: This morning Henry's career average has just ducked under 30 (currently 29.98) and Southee's has crossed above 30 (currently 30.05)

What in the **** is Crawley doing?

This is looking like the Dan Lawrence final innings of the summer - it will not look good getting out so carelessly.

There’s a lot to be said for putting tbe pressure on tbe bowlers by attacking them from tbe get go, but there’s a time and a place, and neither of them are when your buddy has just been removed for a duck
Absolutely- no issue with proactively looking to manoeuvre a field or bowler around, and if you’re gonna go at one go hard- however to your point he just can’t seem to sit still or trust he can get through the new ball.

Hopefully he has a bit of fortune and settles into a rhythm. He’s got bucket loads of talent but it’s in the mind where he just needs that calmness and let the game come to him a bit.
