Sumo seemed to think we'd all prefer to see Blundell hit a single rather than a six because that would get Southee on strike

I just realised your comment was ambiguous - did you mean it's remarkable that we felt required to set 650 to win in a general sense due to fear of bazball, or that you thought it was excessively conservative?
Both, I think. But I take your point and if,as predicted, weather is set fine then there's no issues in batting on. So I think I've overplayed what I said there

No. The stats for this partnership are generally decent despite ZC's personal average and 'sets the tone'. I guess a lack of alternatives helps.
