Hey, whoa what...swiping his bat angrily? Boult told him **** you? That all happened? Didn't see it in the coverage.
Yeah, Root genuinely looked angry at one point when Malan dropped a single against Boult. When he got hit, it looked like Kane was going to walk over and see if he was alright, only for the others to basically yell at him not to. That being said, he did end up walking over and picked up Root's bat for some shadow batting.

Poor Astle. Waits forever to bowl, finally comes on but can't find his length, then has a dolly dropped off a long hop before being driven down the ground for four.

That wicket could've down wonders for his confidence; drop Boult IMO.
Yeah that drop was surreal. Bloke in the Northern Stand, when Boult was back on the fence, did make sure to scream out "we still love you, Boulteh". Maybe Trent just really wants Ish back

Rooting for Kiwis to win this. Will be shame for rain to ruin their brilliant effort on day 1.

With Broad slotted at #10 (!!), might not be an easy task.

It's still not going to be easy to get these last three wickets. Broad might even decide to hang around next too.

That would have been a heartbreaker if Reiffel hadn't given it ... must've been about 49% hitting the stumps.

Great stuff Astle!!!
