Was a ripper of a ball from Ashwin to get Bresnan. Tossed it up above the batter's eyeline and it spun back a mile.

Came out of the blue that one. He's made some change to his action recently and had lost the loop in his deliveries. Looked terrible last match and pretty average for most of this match.

Jos's List A record is insanely good; far better than his T20 stats, in fact.

& yet he's in the T20i side but not the ODI side.

From memory Davies had a pretty ordinary 2012 for Surrey. May even have been dropped at one stage.

Plus he opens for Surrey, and England's need is in the middle order.
Anyone know what CK's record is batting down the order for England? His position there just looks completely untenable.

And in answer to the question why on earth is Root batting at 4 for England in these games, the answer appears to be that he's the only one who knows how to hold a bat.
