*Official* England in India 2023/24 #CryMoreTour

Ice cream causes shark attacks looking headass.
McCullum pressured Joe to bat like a filthy slogger because that reminds him of his own batting. Its an open secret

I have no doubt in my mind that Stokes alone would have played this positive brand of cricket without the added stupidity Baz brings to the table

England: Go to India and perform better than last time despite brook and leach missing the whole series, and Root underperforming relative to last series. England where very close to being 2-2 heading into the last test FFS.
Im not saying they should fire McCullum, but it’s swings and round abouts. This could also be 3-0 right now. India were closer to chasing that score in the first test than England were to winning this one.
As it is it may end up 4-1, same as last time. With a much weaker India.

Even last time the series was a lot closer than the scores let on at times - Pant, Rohit, Ashwin, Washy and Axar changed the game at crucial times when it was England looking like being well on top or in a precarious position.

Bazball was never going to be successful in IND/ AUS . The real disappointment should be failure to win Home Ashes .

The funniest thing about Bazball is watching normally sensible English fans (heh I know) tie themselves in knots trying to defend their batsmen when they do something ape brained. They'll say "Oh but you wouldn't have criticized him if the shot had come off!!!!!" as though it's some 200 IQ own. When actually, yes, the result of the shot is very important. If you take a massive risk and it doesnt come off, then of course you'll be called an idiot what the **** do you expect?

That Root reverse lap off Bumrah should be in the hall of fame of bad shots. He should be shamed for all eternity for having attempted it.

Root underperforming relative to last series.
Root hasn't under performed relative to any series, take his 200 off from a flat day 1 Chennai deck & he avg sub 20(25?) in the 7 innings after that. From memory Root has played on 8-10 flat decks here & batted first on most of them yet his returns are "relatively" shocking, this includes his debut.

But how can we know the guys in the DRS truck (van?) didn't tamper with the 3 reds, we need a 5th umpire cam in there!
What is this ? Now you are saying runs scored in 1st innings don’t count ?
No relative to the conditions he's batted in his returns have been poor, basically he's first innings or bust! Take that double at Chennai out & it looks even worse.

Can we kill the narrative that England could have been 3-1 or 4-0.

They came from behind improbably in the frist test

They were far behind the entirity of the second and third test. It was only gambhring in the eyes of fans and the media that gave them any real chance

They were ahead modestly in this test but lost

meh coulda been shoulda been, stop being so bloody humble. 3-1 because we were better when it mattered and because Eng played some daft cricket at crunch times. No moral wins to them from me.

No , this is opposite of 2018 Test series. Series has been much closer than actual result .
