Vijay obviously doesn't want to leave the crease, that means he can't get stumped but he will miscue some shots. Last one was awesome though.

If this attacking approach pays off, the spinner might be taken off the attack and bring the pacers in who will be easier to handle.

Whatever it takes!!!
Man.. Botham is just a cheerleader pretending to be a commentator isn't it? Does he even know he is on air and not in the England dressing room? Making the Channel 9 cheerleaders look like better commentators at the moment.

First session was England's and this one belongs to India. Going to need a few wickets in the evening session or the advantage of winning the toss and a decent score will be evaporating quickly.

Whats Ball's strength as a bowler to those of you who have seen him bowl a bit? Seems an up and down 140K bowler with nothing special about him so far.

Looks like a bowler who would do better on pitches with more bounce, although this one does have a fair bit of bounce itself. Seems a bit like in the Steven Finn mold.

Amazing how good Atherton is, tbh. Hussain does let the obvious bias show up now and then but he reigns himself back quickly enough and that is fair enough to be naturally biased towards your team, the Indian commentators are very much the same but Botham just seems to hate to give credit to the opposition.

He is talked up as an one day bowler as well at times. Assumed he would be good to bowl cutters.

Accuracy and variations (cutters, reverse, change of pace etc). As he bowls more overs, we will get a fair judgement. All my hope about him comes from him bowling in odis vs us.
