I don't think it will deteriorate enough to make it spin big, the bounce will definitely become more variable but I can't see huge spin taking place. Still good enough to bat on if you play well. England do bat deep though so that's why you want to have enough runs, plus keep England on the field a bit more and tire them out. 90 overs on day 5 + say about 45 overs tommorow is about 130+ overs. Should be good enough.

India would have to go at 4 an over for that to happen, no harm in continuing for a bit after lunch tommorow. Anyway at this point India just need to bat. Maybe they can promote a Jadeja to have a go at some point.

Totally agree about the 4th seamer, and if that means that Ball comes in for an injured Broad then so be it. Obviously Woakes replaces Ansari, which should have happened in this test anyway. What we've seen in this test is that unless it's turning square then our spinners don't pose a threat against India's top 6 and if it is turning square then two spinners will be enough. Four seamers bowling short spells sounds a much better bet to me.

As for the batting, I have no idea.

Also less spinners in a side usually over the amount of tests played. India playing more spinners than quicks isn't the norm.

When you get a pitch suiting quicks and there is 3 or 4 of them there is a fair chance they will split the wickets without a michelle being taken but on a turning track you probably only have one or two options to get the wickets.
