State Regular
Very well played looks like Weber got the last laugh (for the time being). Congrats to Towns on the terrific century and for the rest of the side who contributed and forced the follow on.

37.4 Camps to Strauss : Driven firmly past cover. That's it! England wins by 7 wickets. Comfortably done.
2-0 the scoreline to England. The Cricket Web XI have fought as best as they know how, but the dominance of England has shone through. Now we head to the match that will decide the series.

One victory seals a winning scoreline for England. Though quicker than the home side would have liked, it is here and now that they must their stand.

Welcome to the CWBCC Stadium for the third Test match of this enthralling series. The series may be advantageous to England in the scoreline, but the competition we've seen has far exceeded expectations.

Third Test Match
at the CWBCC Stadium

We've been blessed with beautiful weather conditions today. The pitch looks spotless and perfect for batting.

The Cricket Web XI has won the toss and not hesitated in batting first. Matthew Hoggard has the new ball in his hands, as he prepares to run in to bowl to Peter Young. Ladies and gentlemen, here we go again...

Eighteen drops? What the heck are our fielding ratings, Liam? "Pietersen"?!

We can compete... but we don't seem to do it enough. Pleased on a personal note to actually get some wickets as opposed to getting Gillespied, but I'd rather get 0/for and win.

Special up to the fifth-day DK masterpiece, but it just wasn't long enough...

why are we getting beat so badly, when the invitational XI and the first warmup game were able to put up such competitive challanges? is it something to do with the sim? man, 18 drops how bloddy embarrasing is that. maybe we should have a list of who dropped how many.

overall its been a dissapointing display boys - from all of us. we need to pick it up and bring some respect back to the jersey in the last two tests.

Worth noting that Anderson, Tremlett, Collingwood and Loudon have played the warmups, whilst Flintoff, Hoggard and Harmison played in neither and Strauss played in just one of them. It's not the same team that has been playing the Tests. Also, we've not been beaten as badly as you seem to think.

We've competed for most of each Test thus far.

That loss really hurts. I still think we are making strides forward though, a test series victory in Sri Lanka and some encouraging performances against England. I'm very unhappy with my own form and will be working hard to turn things around.

9 Wicket loss and the series gone is the bad bit.. but heads up boys we are still competing well. everyone knows we arent as good as them and we may only be as good as bangladesh zimbabwe or SL :)... but still we are doing well and definatly improviong.. the results may not show it but we have got a few good partnerships togehter and maybe if we hold some of those catches it would be a differrent story.

Well, I'd lie if I said I wasn't disappointed. But these things happen. I honestly believed we'd be able to pull off the series win, as I know we're capable of it. That said we've certainly not put up a poor showing, which is good. Now it's time to win these last two tests, show some pride!

Yeah good luck to everyone, you've fought valiantly against a team riding high after beating the best team in world cricket... But it's not over, let's save some face guys :D

Unfortunately as the series is going on they appear to be performing better and better - from competing fairly well in the 1st Test, we've been through not being too far behind them in the 2nd Test to being thrashed in the 3rd :(
