Anyway - yeah, Exmouth (Aug 1st) would be eminently doable, but better still would be Exeter CC cricket ground, where Jeff's Midweek XI would be playing, featuring Richard Dickinson, which naturally would be far more interesting than some anodyne Twenty20 fixture.

Tis a great shame. I would have thoroughly enjoyed the chat. And I would have undoubtedly won the verbal battle, if not the technical one... it's also probably one of the few chances two University Challenge participants would have played in the same DCL game...
