The schedule still to be decided, but the tour will comprise of a 4-team tournament for each form of the game - FC and List-A OD. The FC tournament will be played in round robin fashion with a final between the two top teams. The OD tournament will be double round robin, with the first round played before the FC tournament and the second round after. There will then be an OD final.

The teams invited to join CW 'A' thus far are New Zealand 'A' and Australia 'A'. The fourth team is still to be finalized. The series is scheduled to begin next week Wednesday.

Wow, big tournament. Modelled on the Top End Series last year in Australia, I guess.

Should be interesting.

Cricket Australia Announce Fourth Team For Top End Series

In cooperation with the International Cricket Council's development programme, Cricket Australia have invited an East Asia Pacific Development Region XI to play as the fourth team in the Top End series. This will be the first foray into List A and first-class cricket for many of the players, with the bulk drawn from Fiji and Papua New Guinea, neither of whom have played first class cricket for some fifty years. The Cook Islands, Japan and Vanuatu will also contribute towards the EAP combined team. However, should the team fail to avoid defeat in any of their first six games, they will be excluded from the final round of one-dayers.

Interesting fourth team selection :p Somewhere like Namibia or Uganda would've been a cool choice ;) Maybe in the future, hey?

Good luck CW! :)

Should be a good tournament. Hoping to get a call up. My club cricket performances however don't demand it. Anyway, we should do well in both forms IMO.
