Opening does suit Dawson's batting style more than batting down the order. Davis at Lancs has shown that if a player really wants to open it doesn't have to affect your role when you are in the field. If it is something he wants To do it could be a good move for him.Amla would seem like the best option, if it is not him I think it will be Dawson. Did it reasonably well in the past but it was a good few years ago and he bowls a lot more now so it is far from ideal.

It had to happen.During his master class Dale said he is looking for a county deal to get ready for Sri Lanka.
Not sure why him playing 3 county championship matches would affect that but each to their own.Anyone have word on how legit the Kohli to Surrey talk is? I'd get a couple of quid on them to win the royal London one day cup if this pans out for sure.
What are the chances of TRJ getting his test spot back ?middlesex are pretty stacked when it comes to seamers.
murtagh, trj, finn, helm, harris and franklin,
obviously none of the remotely in steyns league but i think they'll be looking for a middle order bat to replace voges rather than another seamer.
They would be the only people who could afford it.Anyone have word on how legit the Kohli to Surrey talk is? I'd get a couple of quid on them to win the royal London one day cup if this pans out for sure.
Heck of a way to replace kumar! They would be the only people who could afford it.
Pending on events I say.Bancroft signed for Somerset as the overseas player. So many repercussions.
