Hate to sound pessimistic, but get the feeling anything over 190 might be beyond NZ under lights there in Colombo against M,M & co.
yes, you may be right

But, a quick 40 or 50 by any NZ batsman would be very handy

I get the feeling that SL know that they don't have to post a high total and they seem to be setting themselves for a score like 200-220. If this partnership gets going though they might set their sights higher.

Nothing quicker than 142 truth be known, but he's bowling so accurately & mixing his pace up beautifully. Not to mention, it's a damn slow wicket
Yea thats what McCullum was saying, that he wasnt as quick as 3-4 years ago but he believes hes an even better bowler ith his variations, swing and intelligence to outthink a batsman.

I was watching the highlights of the aussie england game and they said Brett Lee was bowling them at 152 kms. Havn't seen him bowl that fast in years.

In 2006/2007 from what I recall I don't think Bond was bowling much quicker than 145 only.

You're right, it was actually between 2001-2003 right before his 258th injury that Bond was getting up to around 153 tops

For those who want to watch this match live on Internet they can catch on Ten sports website Ten Sports
Not working for me in Australia :( and secondly my radio sport link that usually works is also not working. Suppose I'll have to make do with Cricinfo, CW and youtube highlights later

Anyway, glacial scoring from Sri Lanka. Five an over from here will give them about 210.

In watching highlights of the 2020s, Bond's pace variations and slower balls do seem even better than when I last saw him bowl. Is awesome!

I love watching a wicket keeper stand up to a medium pacer. Butler is fairly handy with is pace so I am impressed.

87 balls since the last boundary.

Credit to NZ irrespective of how the pitch behaving

Yuss, the tail is exposed
Now to strike! Let's bring back Bond and knock over a couple more. Take a gamble and bowl his ten overs out... but not quite knock them over. Then the last recognised batsman and a tailender will smash the rest of our bowlers around and they'll score 210 ish. Our batsmen will collapse in a heap and we'll lose.

Andre Adams will bowl a ball that bounces twice .

I reckon that Indian batsman will have lot of problems in these conditions than Sri lankans. To win in these conditions, you require good bowling attack and I feel NZ have good bowling unit who can exploit these conditions....

I predict NZ v SRL Final

For somehow, I get a feeling that Ind will not make to finals

EDIT: 100 balls since the last boundary.
