Pretty good knock from Taylor though. Didn't look that fazed by Lee and played some good shots.

Oh cmon.. u have to be realistic here... nz cricket NEEDS a massive shakeup.. eg getting bracewell right outta there..
we have gone from 2nd in the ODI rankings to what are we now.. 4/5th ?
if it takes getting roled out for less than 100 a few times then be it.
I guess the real test will be on tuesday vs england.. so we shall see

Fleming is the captain. If we drop him it will get a lot worse...
So glad we are batting first. Our bowling attack is terrible today.

Vincent and Ryder. Not for Fleming but somebody needs to be changed. Marshall should go home.
The thing is that our reinforcements are going to bat in the middle- lower order with Oram, Styris and Mills dfown at 6, or 7 or wherever.
But thats not where the problem is. The problem is the top order

What would getting rid of our best batsman (overall, not in form) and captain achieve? Nothing. It'd be a step backwards.
Getting rid of Barcewell will be a step up, however.
I'm hoping Gillespie, Mason and Franklin can do something on this pitch and knock off about 7 wickets between them and Vettori to grab 3-20 and NZ snatcha thrilling win defending a total improved by a quick innings from McCullum

Ball is moving miles at times off that strip of grass.
Worth remembering there's still 10 overs to come, probably mostly from Symonds' mediums. Could be 50 odd runs there. 200 still plausible if these two get in, with a bit of batting to come.

Cmon, Vincent has averaged just under 38 for the last two years in international cricket, batting in an unfamiliar position and he is only 27 or 28. He's got 6 or 7 more years in International cricket, .
It was just Boof Bracewell's wierd decision to drop him.

Im not winding up just correcting people who keep denying Bond is past it in terms of speed. Most of the his deliveries are in the 130s.
