Good effort by Bond for his hat-trick - slightly detracted by the fact that it was White being caught in the deep absolutely drilling an average ball, and Symonds sacrificing himself with four balls left. Ball to Bracken was a great delivery to a tailender for the hattrick however.

NZ will be very disappointed I'd have thought, after having the Aussies in a real tight spot, and at less than 200 after 40 overs. Great digs from Symonds and White. White must be firmly to be in the team for the WC regardless of what happens with Watson from here on. Hope he has a good day with the ball today.

Watson to take Hayden's opening spot imo unless Hayden can make some runs.

Well that was pretty entertaining stuff! Really hope Astle, Fleming, or Taylor fire and get a big score here. I've got a funny feeling McCullum will go cheaply

NZ are right in this. We all know what happened last time Australia had a weakened bowling attack.

Johnson, Clark, White & Bracken were all part of the side that leaked 330 runs to NZ.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Bond came back well in his final over after a terrible penultimate.

Without McGrath and Lee in the bowling attack, we should be able to chase it down. But I'm not entirely confident about our batting these days :(

Oh, and Arrow...you just love to wind people up, don't you?

Johnson has played a handful of ODI's, White the same..Clark doesn't look the same bowler that he is in tests. I'm not so sure to be honest,

But anyway, let's just hope that for the sake of the series, New Zealand take this to the wire.

Go for 22 one over then get both batsmen who are blasting out inside a hat-trick in the next. It's a funny old game, alright

Gillespie looks good. He's got the pace too. Franklin is just a pain in the backside right now, a huge liability when one of your opening bowlers can only bowl 4 overs. Once Mills comes back i'd drop out Franklin.

I don't rate Franklin as an ODI bowler, but apparently he was suffering a migraine today, which might explain part of his sub-standard performance.

so why was he playing then? doesn't give much confidence to Adams or Mason to be honest.
