Obv. ODI's and Tests are different kettle of fish, but in hindsight should he have played in the Ashes?
Hmmm, it does make me wonder why that pansy Harmison was continued with for 5 Tests. Hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it. :p

Demolition Man

State Vice-Captain
Hodge has an opportunity to cement his place in this side, as does Watson. The opportunity is there, it will be interesting to see if either of them take it.

Australia perilously close to going down in flames here. If the odds are still as healthy as they were earlier, it'd be a good time for the punting inclined to put a fair bet on England.

Bah, I wrote this seconds prior to the fourth wicket falling. Odds may have just plummeted for an England win. ;) Mind you, Australia certainly aren't completely out of this.

This just goes to show that in one day cricket at least, the gulfs between the sides simply aren't as great as some would suggest. Give Punter a failure (or a break) here and there, take Symonds out of the equation, and have someone like Collingwood find some real form and the rest of England a bit of confidence, and things can look very different all of a sudden.

Plunkett is a very very good bowler. Will be one of thew best in the world in a couple years time.
