When you describe some thing instantly, you say

But for a period of 3-5 overs which has passed, it feels strange to write in the present tense, particularly in an ODI where 5 overs can seem significant.

That runout attempt was a lot closer than the commentators made out. With less than 50 to get, you'd have to feel England are gonna make this.

Funny to think that in the end, the Kiwis actually only won two games out here, and England are on the threshold of only needing one more win to take out the competition.
