I don't think only scoring single for half an hour was a pre-meditated thing for hodge, more a result of his nerves at this surely being his last of many chances.
I don't think he went out and said "I'll get nothing but singles for 40 balls", but he certainly made a concious effort to play himself in before playing any risky shots, and did so with full awareness of the required rate. As soon as it was needed, he increased the rate.

Mirza is awestruck. "Australia isn't just a mere cricket team, it is an ever-evolving, totipotent genetically-engineered cyborg, slowly devouring all who dare to stand up to it, in an orgy of willow-encrusted destruction."

Great catch from Vincent, but it does bring Mr Cricket in.

Hodge deserves a ton here, but think the chase is still too tight for them to manipulate one for him.

46.1 Gillespie to Ponting, OUT, caught in the deep! Ponting slams it down the ground to long-off, he hit that right out of the screws, Vincent sprinted in from the fence, dived forward and took an excellent low catch

Consolation wicket. Awfully kind of Punter to do that.

Hodge might get out too. Usually after a big partnership, when one leaves, so does the other.
(Unlikely here though)

International Coach
Huss would be feeling a bit weird today he has come in and there is not too much pressure on him, though i could still be tight but its highly unlikely.

Hussey's out here.

Two failures in a row. Average for the series down to a human sub-60 level. Career average under 75 too.
