I really dont see the point in Ponting's selection

Sure he's been great in this format but it obviously cannot be argued that he is indispensible anymore and he has a maximum of a couple of years left anyway

Sure hope people aren't hoping for some sort of second coming from Ponting in tests, most Indian fans knew even before the test series that we'd play him back into form. But really, don't expect his next 1-2 years to average 55+ or something.

Ok now this is what will be worth watching, cuz Yadav's a 50/50, capable of bowling a good middle overs spell here (like he did against Aus in the last game), but can just as easily spray it around and let off the pressure. Hoping for the former.

The amount of negativity surrounding Ponting would make one feel that he is the sole reason behind Australia's poor form in this series thus far, the fact is since the world cup he has been one of our better OD batsmen so all the Ponting bashing that has been going on has achieved little else other than putting him under undue pressure which is starting to show out their in the way he is batting atm.
