Not watching - combination of girls in TV room and room resembling Pompeii on Volcano Day - just seen c Fleming b Bond pop up on the scorecard.

I assume: full, swinging away, Jacques' feet stuck in a block of concrete, has a waft, top/outside edge, to first slip. Am I correct?

Not really a waft... a good ball. Should probably have left it but more good bowling than bad shot.

Bond is bowling well, but Darayl Tuffey is bowling rubbish at the other end, hardly any balls have landed on the pitch.

Haha, how about these commentators? Referring to Friday as a "historic night".

Bond bowling a really nice opening spell here.

Wasn't full, and more angling away then swinging away.

Bond is bowling a brilliant spell here.

Yeah, pretty much. Was a good ball though, wasn't too far outside off and swung away.

Jaques seems to get out like that a lot. Real worry that he keeps wasting these chances. It's about 5 ODIs in a row he's done nothing. Fine player when he gets through the early period though.

Can't see him as a Langer-replacement in tests. More of a Hayden-replacement.

The thing about Eden Park is that its such a small ground, you score 1's or 4's and 6's. I think if they get through Shane Bond's spell they can score 280 here if they keep a few wickets in hand. Chris Cairns hit 15 sixes on this ground against India.

It does worry me that I can do that based on about 12 balls' viewing.

His footwork strikes me as very Trescothickesque - i.e. dramatically limited, and I haven't been able to view him for any extended lengths of time/long innings to see how his weight transfer and balance work when he's set.

Lol at having to get up at 9am on a Sunday morning. Haven't done that in ages. Was pretty depressed over the weekend about the loss, it must be said.
At least you got up mate. Its now 7.50am here in Japan and ive just got back from a night on the town. Sleep or Cricket? Not a tough decision really
