It's kind of stink that the IPL teams have multiple foreign players in them - but the other teams are restricted to one each.

McCullum should have dogged it on purpose against a NZ team.

Most have two others have more:

Australia - 2
SA - 2
England - 2
Sri Lanka - 4
Bangladesh - 4


Not sure about Pakistan, West Indies and NZ. End of day it comes down to each board and how many they want. All countries could have 4 of they want. But most are concerned about the lack of changes for local players.

They also need to stay away from any injuries given the alternatives. The 3 bench guys at the moment have played 5 T20 matches between them(all wardlaw).

Of course they care, all you have to do is hear Ravi Shastri's funeral voice whenever an IPL side loses. Its hilarious. Plus not only does it lose them money but it makes the entire IPL look like ****.

How can you create a successful sports league when your players quite clearly couldn't care less about winning. The public won't buy it.

You think the Indian public will somehow reassess and stop watching IPL because of what happens here? People don't watch IPL in the belief that it's cricket at it's best or something like that. It's just a nice Tamasha, a 'timepass'. If the IPL matches themselves are entertaining, that's all that matters. Of course for the success of this tournament it's crucial that the IPL teams stay competitive to keep enough of the Indian viewership interested. But anything that happens here will be forgotten in a matter of weeks.
