Junior's got it right, the only reason they didn't have a look is because the fielders didn't have a massive cry.
It's like what they have in NRL. If you get a high one, you stay down on the deck so they stop the game and the video ref has a look and can pay a penalty when the main referee misses it.

In NRL we actually have 2 refs who miss it simultaneously. That situ sucks, so maybe ump referrals are a bad idea after all

Which is of course 100% a worse look for the game than the captain making a T sign. I mean we don't want it to become soccer with 7 players running up to the ref do we.
That said I would have thought both the umps and players don't like this at all. I blame Mark Taylor for this. Hope he realises how dumb it is.
