It's a bit frustrating that the heat will lose marnus, uzzie and renshaw after only making top 3 because of those guys. Kind of saps the interest from the final 2 games.

The India series would have been announced ages ago I assume.

Seems very poor planning that the main matches of the event your marquee players are missing.

2 issues at play here IMO

Firstly, CA needs money & more matches = more money with the result being an elongated season

Secondly, not only does BCCI calls the shots in world cricket but an Indian series is also very lucrative for CA so they’ll agree to pretty much anything

Factor in the need for an IPL window and there’s only so many days in a season

Money is the root cause of many issues

Why is there a huge gap between the last game and the final 2? Surely they could have got it all done last weekend before jetting off to India.

If there's a sensible Cricketing Authority in World Cricket I've yet to see it...the ECB makes a lot of mistakes, but Blast Finals Day (2 semis and a Final) is one of the things they've got right.

I raised the cancelled ODI series because it is important to note that it wasn't by design that the various Aus all format players were around in the BBL for so long in the first place. As much as I am often critical of those at Jolimont St you really can't blame scheduling for not accommodating players who they didn't even know would be part of the tournament when the schedule first got done
