I was ****ting on the thunder lineup pre the game and I still stand by that, it's a batsmen short, and you can't rely on same/cutting/green playing a blinder down the order all that often.

Hadn't seen sams do anything like that before though I kept hearing from comms he could. As for the bold I'm not so sure. Cutting at this format could be an even better batsman than the pinch hitter/slogger role he's made his career on. Reckon he could still play that role but if Sams can be relied on as the hitter then Cutting can play a more sober batting role as well.

Not watching, but I see that both sides have 'X-factored' out players: looking at the scorecard when Hobart were two down, I thought dropping Botha for Wright would be a good idea given the former doesn't usually bowl a full quota anyway, and it could strengthen the batting (though it probably didn't).

Removing Briggs after 15 off his first over was also no doubt advisable, as he is clearly actually crap helped by favourable pitches in England. hat said, Briggs didn't bat badly in the last match.

Carey in decent form atm. Haven’t seen his keeping of late in long form to see if it’s improved to the spinners, but if it has then he’s going to be a real asset to the test side at seven.
