If Ashwin continues to bowl crap like this Test , will we see Axar,Jadeja and Kuldeep against Aus ?

I don’t think so. Atleast not for all matches. Ashwin has too much of a great record at home to be dropped for such a important series. Also a handy lower order bat.

Whatever it takes!!!
I dont think @sunilz is watching the game.

Ashwin seemed to get better as the game went on. He has suddenly had a white ball focus in his career in the last year so maybe the adjustment may take time esp. given his age.

Whose idea was it to give Shakib captaincy back? Its a well established fact that Shakib is a terrible man manager. Zakir is in good form but dropping Joy was a disaster. Zakir and Joy could open and move Shanto to 3. How is Yasir a no.3? Mind boggling decisions.

Dont see any reason behind this obsession with playing Khaled in tests. Shoriful or Raja should have been playing instead. Doing same mistake over and over again is plain stupidity. Bashar and Nannu as selectors should be fired for incompetency and the joker Razzak with them should be sent to managing selection of domestic team.

Need some drastic changes for the next test to be competitive-

1. Joy
2. Zakir
3. Shanto
4. Liton (Captain)
5. Mushfiq
6. Shakib
7. Nurul
8. Miraz
9. Taijul
10. Shoriful
11. Raja

Brah, why are you dropping Ebadot and Khaled? And bringing in Shoriful who's dropped about 8kph in pace recently?

Defo would like to see Shanto removed from the opening pair though.

No better option as Taskin is unfit. Don’t know if Mrittunjoy guy is good enough to play at this level now. Ebagoat is hit and miss and mostly miss. He’s just another rubel. Khaled is uninspiring and mediocre. In domestic circuit, he’s known for his thunder pace but when he came to International cricket, he’s badly exposed with 135 kph. Blame goes to Shujon for branding Khaled with express pace.

The future indian ATG trio of Bumrah, Kuldeep and Axar have taken 206 test wickets at 20.

At home they have 69 wickets at 15.

Overseas, they have 137 wickets at 22.
Add Siraj and we have a decent attack even post Ashwin, Jadeja and Shami's retirements.

Rohit not being risked for the 2nd Test by the team management, so I don't expect any changes in the XI.

Rahul and Rohit, should not be chosen as captains when they are injured literally half of the time. In fact, in the case of Rohit, he seems to miss more test matches than he plays and when he is available, he is 'rested' for some of the limited overs series as well. He is truly a captain in name only.

Wasn't around when India toured South Africa. Neither were around when India played the last test against England.

Rohit being appointed captain on the back of some IPL wins is the biggest farce in my time of watching Indian cricket, only to be surpassed shortly by Rahul becoming the long-term captain. The first is literally on his last legs and won't see out another year in whites, the second is an insecure, passive-aggressive prick. I'd rather we take a punt and hand it over to someone green but promising but since there are no real candidates (Iyer? Pant?), I think it's going to land back in Kohli's lap if he wants it and manages to find some form.
