**** sake at least cricket has learnt to use technology, it seems another sport only uses in certain conditions, very disappointing at Newlands

How Dharmasena thought that Mustafizur dismissal off Mahraj wasn't out is beyond me; by the angle and how much it flew up in the air it was impossible to think it was pad only.

Can understand why Kayes was annoyed that they were out there batting in that 2nd innings; looked pitch black D/N conditions by the end.

'Bangladesh 7/0'. *Was there a another rain delay or something? SA surely didn't bat on that long.* 'Follow on'. *Oh*

Rabada- 3 wickets away from 100 test wickets. He's been perfect ever since his debut. The wickets keep on coming. I do hope that SA keeps him healthy.

Yes his action seems symptomatic of the kind of action that sees you bowl 131kph one delivery, then all the biomechanics and everything come together and he gets it right and it flies out at 142kph, I don't think technically is one of the more repeatable and consistent actions.

Yes he certainly seems to run in hard and will give his all. I think he can still be an aggressive type of bowler but he will need to improve his accuracy to stay on the batsman, too many four-balls for me at this early stage and ideas of bowling spells around 147kph seem a little hard to imagine currently.
Looks like it is clicking as the speed gun just read 147 followed up by 143.8

Best batting day here. This will be hard work if Bangladesh batting anywhere near decently.

Nearly a fine take by Markram at short leg off Olivier but he had it but fell out.

As I say it, KG strikes.

I have been impressed with Olivier's pace this game, bowling much better. But still want Steyn, Philander Morkel back for the Indian/Aus series..... heres hoping.

Definitely.

All about building the depth. He has a little bit about him but loads to improve on still. Its not like he hasn't put on impressive numbers domestically and for the A team.

There is definitely more to work with than say de Lange and Viljoen for so many reasons. Pure pace isn't everything and he is no slouch himself. Just think he has more skill and stronger reserves for a whole day or test.

Absolutely, just seen his last couple of overs this morning and he's been pretty consistently above 140kph.

I think also he may just have been told to run in and try and unsettle them, making him a little bit more relaxed mentally maybe, or the state of the game giving him a bit of confidence. Who knows, looks like there's more intensity about his bowling anyway today and you say, things look to have clicked more this morning.

Assuming SA will go with three pacemen, which one of DS, MM, VP & KR would you leave out?

It's another "Mushy gets hit on the head and writhes around in agony" episode

A formula that never goes stale

Considering they have been playing QDK at 6... it leaves Philander at 7... so Philander, Maharaj, Rabada, Morkel, Steyn. Bigger issue is does Bavuma get dropped for ABdV..... should be, and suspoect this is maybe the reason for Andile playing now! Get ahead of the quotas while we can.

Don't like when batsmen stay on after a knock like that on the temple... most contact sports will not allow that nowadays without an off the pitch assesment.
