***Official*** Bangladesh in New Zealand

Somerset

Cricketer Of The Year
Northern Districts easing to victory, 186/3 after 36 overs. Horsley with 92. Mortaza, Reza, Razzak with a wicket each so far.

Haven't heard much about the top scorer in the Bangladehi innings, Siddique. Average effort from the rest of them.

Very Disappointing loss, few bright spots in Zuniad, Ashraful and Reza with Bat and Ball ... But I'm prepared for another long tour

only 15 needed with 10 overs and 7 wickets in hand

Better effort so far for Bangladesh in the second practice match. Northern 4/90-odd after 27 overs.

Worst news of the week - Syed Rasel injured. :(
Not happy about it either, he can swing the new ball and when bowling tight is certainly a chance for a few wickets. Being replaced by an unknown though is some good news, while not an expert on Bangladesh Junior cricket I belive their youth teams have been doing well for a few years so braining in the kids may be the way to go from here.

Mate the Bangladesh team is all kids.
Woops. Thats what I meant just did not express it that well

The idea of having mostly kids in the team at the moment is the right way to go about it and as thats what they are doing the right thing.

Na it's not necessarily the right way. They're picking players on performance now and it just so happens that those performing are the kids. Other than players like Mahmud who obviously shouldn't be playing international cricket.

How is James Marshall a master exactly? Same for Ian Butler.

Great to see Ryder and Southee in there, though I hope this doesn't mean Southee will get used heaps before he's ready. He should just have the odd fun/charity 20/20 like this one IMO.

And once again why is How in a 20/20 side?

What has happened to that wonderful left arm spinner, Enamul Haq jnr. ?
The selection policy for this tour is to take only one specialist spinner in the team (with Shakib and Mehrab in supporting roles). For ODIs, it's Abdur Razzak; for Tests, it will be Mohammad Rafique. So there is no place for Enamul in this tour.
