I can understand not declaring. A defeat to Bangladesh would be demoralising, and I don't exactly get a confident vibe from the NZ camp anyway.
There's not a lot in it. There's also been some abject fielding which has significantly affected the scores.Just saw the score. Is this wicket a road?
The SA series is going to be great to watchI can understand not declaring. A defeat to Bangladesh would be demoralising, and I don't exactly get a confident vibe from the NZ camp anyway.
This test has been a poor one for New Zealand and I think South Africa will be too good for us. But I also think this is an outlier and we will be much better in the 2nd test and beyond. The SA series is going to be great to watch
Conceding an innings lead to Bangladesh at home after you've won the toss...
Just when you think this side can't stoop any lower
that wouldn't prove anything. We've been slogging for the last few wickets anyway, and are scoring just as quickly if not more quickly than we would in our final innings.I hope for our sake we destroy Bangladesh yet run out of overs in our chase.
"Slogging" - final ten overs were 3.6 an over.that wouldn't prove anything. We've been slogging for the last few wickets anyway, and are scoring just as quickly if not more quickly than we would in our final innings.
He's got the verbiage wrong, but the mentality right - if they were 100 runs ahead when we declared, they'd be more likely to go after a score of 200-250 and declare, giving us two opportunities - one, getting their batsmen out early while they attempt to attack us, two, actually having a target set for us to chase.Rig, the side won't be under pressure when you'be declared 200 behind, mate.
