Bangladesh were never in it after those couple of tight overs. They should have gone closer after the start they had.

Disgrace of a series. Kane should be sacked from the captaincy for batting too slowly and putting pressure on our hitters.

Soshi lucked into a few wickets

The KFC eating diabetic will get a non-deserving test place to score runs against non-test opposition once again.

Sigh.

BD have been a dire T20 side for quite a while now. Don't think these results are unexpected

ODIs a bit of a shocker though. They can do better, but that's just how the story of BD cricket goes. Consistently inconsistent, never failing to underwhelm,

I have some hopes for them to be competitive in the Tests tho. They'll have the momentum of the England win.

They had lots of little opportunities throughout the ODIs too. It's not like NZ just blew them away with consistently awesome cricket, and it's not like they seemed beaten by the conditions; they just played really dumb cricket throughout and it kept catching up with them. I didn't even care who won and it frustrated me quite a bit so it must have been completely infuriating from a fan's perspective.

BD are among the most consistent sides imo, they just had a good 2015, can't fault them for one blip.

See I would normally buy this, but with Bangladesh it happens so often that they appear to compete for 50-80% of the match only to fall over ass backwards that I don't even know if you can say this anymore.

It's kind of like rugby teams playing the All Blacks & competing well for 60 minutes, only to get blown off the park in the final 20. The temptation in hindsight is to focus on how close the sides were for that 60 minute period, forgetting that rugby is played over 80.

Bangladesh are a poor side at the moment because they don't have the depth nor the class to play good enough cricket for long enough to be considered unlucky or not far off the pace for me.

In many ways NZ did blow them off the park if you look at the final margins as opposed to periods of the game in which it appear even, or that Bangers were even on top. The margins being 77 runs, 67 runs & 8 wickets, that represents hidings

Assume you mean a good 2016? And did they really? Played 9, won 3 & lost 6? Is that representative of one of the 'more consistent sides'?

No, I did mean 2015, also why do you think consistency can only mean 'consistently winning' ?

Ok, strange you feel you need to go back over 12 months to 2015 to make a point about their consistency, when they've been utterly inconsistent in 2016 & have started 2017 in the same fashion.

And yes, in the main a consistent side consistently wins. Unless you mean something like they consistently wear their team strip in matches, or consistently have one type of breakfast pre match.

Come on dude, it was a joke about how they are the most consistent side in terms of losing, how are you not getting it.
