*Official* Bangladesh in India 2017

He said something along the lines of "if I change the way I play, I won't be Shakib anymore"

lol
Players adapt to situation. I mean there are guys like Sehwag and you back them to flourish by playing their natural game. If Shakib applied himself, he would have been be a far better player. Throughout his career, he threw away his wicket relentlessly. But he's not going to acknowledge it and do whatever he likes best.

how is this pitch? 356 in one day with 7 wickets in hand doesn't sound like an impossible task...anyone here think bangladesh can cause a big upset here?

Think it's turning quite sharply, not so sure wrt variable bounce. I really don't see Bangladesh winning, though a draw is possible (but unlikely, I'd say). You're right that their not totally doomed right now, but on the other hand I wouldn't be massively surprised if they just collapsed in the first session.

Wait, are vice captains not a thing anymore? I thought Ash was ours but he isn't listed in the squad as one.

Using rough maths if their second innings is as long as their first, they'll draw/win. By this point in their first innings, they were 4 down.

Unlikely, not impossible.

a win is certainly within the realms of possibility but the pitch is turning quite sharply and there were a couple that bounced for the spinners, so it won't be easy at all. good show from the bangladeshi's overall though.

a draw would be a huge accomplishment and perhaps even a mini statement that india and other countries should give them a few more tests.

fosho SL have to be worried about their home series with them..

There's a very small chance of any 'other' result. Betting odds are as follows: $80 for a Bangladesh win, $8 for a draw and mere $1.08 for a India win. Literally no return on India winning.. And I agree. People are imagining very rare scenarios.

There's an 8 cent return on India winning.

India will have it done and dusted an hour after lunch. I've not seen a minute of this test, just I expect Bangladesh to crumble.

Please prove me wrong boys. I wanna see Kohli greeting like a baby.

By that do you mean you want to see him wrapped in swaddling and passed from family member to family member before being given a bottle, being burped and having a lie down?

There is a chance that Shakib could be right. Irfan Pathan tried increasing his pace and lost his swing. Now he is in obscurity.
