Thought I'd better wrap up the series, finished on Saturday.

Second One-Day Match Scorecard

Bangladesh scraped out 211, with Saqibul making a rapid 41, and Ehsanul, Saghir Hossain, Mohammad Sharif all clubbing together. However the tourists easily exceeded this, with Gajanayake carrying them home with 59*. Shafaq Al Zabir took 3-38.

Third One-Day Match Scorecard

Sri Lanka set a decent total (245) on what looked a slow pitch, though were tied down a bit by the Bangladeshi spinners. Keeper Kaushal Silva struck an unbeaten 83, while Farhad Reza was amongst the wickets again.
Bangladesh were then skittled for just 111, only Tushar Imran (27) and Mushfiqur Rahim (36*) made double figures. Wickets for all the Sri Lankan bowlers.

Sri Lanka take series 2-1.

Dhaka right-hand middle-order bat, bowls a bit of medium pace. Actually I'd probably play Mehrab Hossain jnr in the above team - adds another spin option.

From cricBD, not quite as good today:

Hosts Zimbabwe A thrived on a couple of half-centuries from Stuart Matsikenyeri and Kasteni as they closed the second day of the second four-day match against Bangladesh A on a better note at the Mutare Sports Club ground on Saturday.

The Zimbabwean second-string side batted out two sessions with the score on 251 for 8 at stumps. Test cap Matsikenyeri struck 61 while Kasteni scored 52. Mufambisi also contributed with 44 runs.

Left-arm spinner Enamul Haque continued his brilliant form of the tour, picking up three wickets for 60. Paceman Mohammad Sharif picked two wickets for the visitors.

Earlier, Bangladesh A ended their first innings on 380 runs, after resuming the day on 307 for 6.

From CricBD, yesterday's update:

Mehrab Hossain Jr struck back-to-back centuries as Bangladesh A tightened their grip on Zimbabwe A on the third-day of the second Test at the Mutare Sports Club ground on Sunday.

The second string Bangladesh side rode on Mehrab's patient knock and a whirlwind half-century from Alok Kapali to declare their second innings for 258-6 in 65.3 overs to set an improbable 381-run winning target for the home team.

The young left-handed opener Mehrab scored unbeaten 100 off 206 balls after a scintillating 120 in the first innings while Kapali, who smashed 111 in the first easy, accelerated the run rate with a 45-ball 66.

Sakib Al Hasan and captain Tushar Imran were the other notable scorers making 34 and 27 runs respectively.

Earlier left-arm spinner Enamul Haque took the remaining two wickets of Zimbabwe A to deliver his second five-for in the series as well as ensuring a 122-run first innings lead for the visitors having wrapped up the opponents for 258.

Zimbabwe A resumed the day on 251 for 8.

Enamul, who scalped nine wickets in the first match, claimed five wickets for 61 runs while pacer Mohammad Sharif grabbed two wickets for 39 runs.

Wow, could have been a thriller, from CricBD:

Bangladesh A survived a scare to manage a draw against Zimbabwe A on the fourth and final day of the second four-day match at the Mutare Sports Club ground on Monday.

Hamilton Masakadza led from the front with a superb 209-ball 131 in his team's valiant effort to chase down an improbable target of 381 but bad lights brought the game to a halt with merely three more overs remaining with the scoreboard reading on 352-8, 29 runs adrift from the target.

The home team, which conceded a 122 runs first innings lead after bundling out for 258 runs in reply to Bangladesh's 380, resumed the day with 47-1 with 334 more runs needed on the final day to overtake the Bangladesh total.

Mufambisi chipped in with 45 off 76 balls.

For the tourists, left-arm spinner Enamul Haque and Sakib Al Hasan captured two wickets each while veterans Hasibul Hossain, Mohammad Sharif, Tushar Imran and rookie Mahbubul Alam, took one each.

The second string Bangladesh side are leading the three-match series 1-0 after winning the first game by seven wickets and the third and final four-day match will start at the Queen's Sports Club ground in Bulawayo from June 30.
