It would be for sure if he'd never played for South Africa before, but I can't remember if the stand-down period between playing for two full members in international cricket is four years or seven years. I think it may be seven years in which case we'd be looking at 2019.

Ronchi only waited 4, unless it's different if you're returning to your country of birth (but that seems a little silly tbh)

The aricle says after 4 years he becomes an Aussie in 2016 july i think.As i said he could play for the Comets as the overseas player when they debut in the Metaddor cup ny.

Yeah, I think the seven year thing is just for England; the ECB enforce their own harsher criteria.

Yeah, played on a country wicket that was up and down, took most of his wickets with slider/flipper. Been bowling full tosses for best part of four months now.

Fair to say he doesn't get much sympathy from other players...

Not a huge amount of technical tinkering from what I know of. Just always been "hot when he's hot" type of guy. Even when he was landing them against us, shape wasn't really right, ball drifting away and then spinning further.

Hogg spent a lot of time with him when the Vic 2nd XI went over to WA (before the Scorchers picked him up). Think he would have had a lot of people trying to give him a lot of advice, so there is that possibility.
