Two seasons ago they were complaining the pitches were too flat, so fast bowlers and spinners were getting a go and they matches weren't creating results.

Now they are complaining the pitches have too much assistant for fast bowlers.

I'm sure if they made it flat again, they will start complaining about the lack of support for fast bowlers in 18 months.

Maybe the real issue is the players aren't good enough to show their quality in non preferred conditions. The players are too reliant on dominate conditions to play well.

When it comes to spinners 4-day pitches in Australia will never support spinners. Even test pitches are useless for spin bowling until day 5. So who really cares if there assistance for spin bowling, because there never will be.

Though the flat pitches of 90s, meant that the top fast bowlers and spinners always come to the top. And batsmen learned how to play big innings, but someone batsmen struggled at Test level in conditions that had more support for bowlers. Though it is easier to carry an under performing batsmen for 10 tests, then a bowler that can't take wickets outside green tops.

Remember tuning into a SA Shield game last season and Doropolous was great value as a comm, along with Borgas I think.

Hey bois.

Not sure where to post this so I'll slot it here:

A couple of years ago I was fortunate enough to be invited to participate in a charity t20 match. My captain was Adam Gilchrist, and in my team was Glenn McGrath, Scott Styris as well as a host of other international and former international players.

This year, the event has their best line up yet, headlined by STUART MACGILL, the match will also feature the following players:

Adam Gilchrist
Viv Richards
Brian Lara
Waqar Younis
Scott Styris
Rod Marsh
Michael Bevan
Tom Moody
Damien Martyn
Daryl Tuffey
Carl Hooper
Graeme Hick
Azhar Mahmood

Along with a few other sporting and acting celebrities.

Rahul Dravid was going to play but has since pulled out.

Pretty devo I'm not playing this year!

The match is being played on Sunday 18th of November. Deets are below:

Azhar Mahmood would probably show up at your junior club's presentation day if you'll allow him to pad up and give him a free sausage roll and coke. what a guy
