Haddin, Paine and Wade have been batting at six for most of their careers.Has the # 6 position become the WK slot in Shield?
Haddin, Paine & Handscomb so far this year?
Edit: Is Finch injured as Handscomb now batting at 5?
Maybe not, but he's a PONI and therefore has the spot the Australian selectors want him to have. I still reckon he'll come good this year though.Such a dominate day 1 for the Vics. Love how McDonald murders state attacks these days.
WA are still SO frustrating, Mitch Marsh has the 9th highest first class batting average in the team and has a lower bowling average than Johnson, Rimmington and Hogan. Not sure he is the answer at 6 just yet.
Or he could drop down the order like Henriques has, and actually earn a spot in the state top 6. Obviously he's not the only bat struggling, so its not a big issue yet.Maybe not, but he's a PONI and therefore has the spot the Australian selectors want him to have. Unfortunately Triffit isn't a good enough bat for 6, and you'd want to play 4 specialist bowlers and Marsh. Doesn't leave them much choice.Or he could drop down the order like Henriques has, and actually earn a spot in the state top 6. Obviously he's not the only bat struggling, so its not a big issue yet.
I'm guessing between 10-15. But bear in mind the T20 squad has another 4.Across the 6 states from players who are playing/played in their states last match, how many batsman do you think have scored 8 or more first class centuries?
Yeah its 12. Sounds a little low for mine, a few experienced batsman with 7 tons, which is why I chose 8 I guess.I'm guessing between 10-15. But bear in mind the T20 squad has another 4.
