I know Warney talked him up as a chance to go to South Africa before the selectors chose Stuart Clark but I think they have him pegged as a bowler without enough tricks for international level. Like Griffith he has been consistently good in the pura cup over a few years so I can't really see them suddenly changing their mind and picking him. Has he even played for Australia A lately?Hoggy31 said:Things are going from bad to worse for Victoria, Harwood has just injured himself, I hope it's nothing serious as he was really starting to push for Australian selection.
They're both very good players and they're scoring runs at the right time. Australia's top 6 is yet to be setelled for the first Ashes test and any batsman scoring heavily is a chance.Perm said:Western Australia looking very impressive at 523/2. Chris Rogers on 247* and Marcus North on 200*. When Hayden and Langer retire do you think Rogers might get a crack?
So you have bagged SA throughout this page and you clearly like WANnanden said:Screw Marsh, Rogers is the way of the future.
Seriously though, Rogers, North, Marsh, Voges, Ronchi and Ervine are all quality bats, with Ronchi being a fantastic wicket-keeper. Magoffin, Edmonson and Dorey are an awesome pace trio. All they lack is a quality spinner, and I guess they might look to Heal to see how he goes.
