Dan Christian take a bow.... What a shame deserved a 100 there... its beyond me why this guy isn't in the Australian side!!

He's regarded as an all-rounder and, to put it nicely, his bowling is rather modest

Bowls well in Shield cricket - always attacks and gets vital breakthroughs. Can have days where it's just 'on' too. Not really accurate or reliable enough to play a consistent role with the ball in ODIs though and there are better specialist batsmen (although he is climbing up that list).

I think having Christian at 7 would be ideal for Australia in both shorter formats. With Watson in the side, DC would be the sixth bowler.

With the world cup being in the sub continent id much prefer our all rounder to be a spinning all rounder. I think christian would get carted around over there...

Id play both in T20 more bowling options to turn to if need be just not in odi's.

Looked a great match from the FoxSports news highlights, does anybody know where I can get the full highlights?

Wish Khawaja can play this aggressively at FC level as he seems so much better, guess he's a bit timid at that level.

They really should not have had Fat Dan Smith on the boundary for the last ball. They got lucky

Smith actually doesn't bowl enough overs in ODI's to be regarded an all-founder, but now that Hauritz's and Doherty's careers are all but over, we might pick Smith as the spinner in ODI cricket and therefore have Christian in the team as well.
Also don't agree with social regarding Christian's bowling, his bowling is more than handy imo. There are days when he is bit all over the shop but he more or less is always among the wickets , but even if you discount his bowling he should be in the team for his lower order batting alone.

In a way these are the types of conditions in which domestic OD games should be played in, as these are pretty much the same conditions these players are gonna face at the international level.
