Late decision to go. So would have been a hassle to get the tickets. Plus you have to sit with other people. Really hate it when that mob from Taringa is in the box.
I miss working at Logan. I used to watch every ODD at the Gabba, now I have to settle for crapinfo commentary :(.

Congrats to Bailey. A century against an International attack is always a big moment for a batsman, hope he has a good end to his season.

Love how 3 Shield matches started today.

Reardon 12th man was a bad move IMO.

Jaques out for 9 in his first game back, Symonds gone at the Gabba for 5. Rogers out for 24 too. Hughes 38*

Some big chances for players to really impress in these games!

I guess Jaques and Symonds need big scores to show they ought to be taken on tour.

Hughes is probably just about halfway to a test spot at lunch in Newcastle (47*).

If one of McGain, Krejza or Hauritz can take a bag of wickets, suddenly they're looking at a bowling spot.

Noffke makes a timely return

AB McDonald out to prove he CAN score major runs at the 6 spot.

With a vacant bowling spot, a big Ryan Harris bag might secure him a tour berth

I can't think of a more interesting 4 days of shield cricket in recent memory!!

I reckon they'll take Jaques to SA just so long as he can prove that he's fit. IMO it's Hughes & Rogers that are actually fighting for the spot. As for Symonds, even though I don't agree with it, I suspect he's in the same boat as Jaques, if he can show he's fit enough, they'll take him regardless of how many runs he does/doesn't score.

Stayed till Jewell toned up, was very shaky towards the end, knicking a few and was getting pretty frustrated in the 90s not being able to find the gaps. Looks like he got out right after I left. This George kid looks very good, has something about him.
