Yeah, he played really well against Zimbabwe....:p

And Squid, as far as I know he was injured a bit last season.... but thats no excuse for bowling the way he did yesterday. He wasnt alone of course, Wates apparently thought bowling half volleys on leg stump to Moss was a good idea to decelerate Victorias scoring...
He injured his lower back in 2004, then strained his AC joint against india, and i think he may have got stress fractures or something last year in his back, though i may be wrong...

no he was never good enough to play ODI's. i rate picking him almost as bad a screwup as dropping Marto.
i disagree it selection in the ODI team wasn't that bad come on, he was pretty good in the time he was in the side if you remember...

he took a 5 for vs NZ in an ODI in Pune during the TVS Cup in India as well. But he was very impressive in 2 consecutive ODI series (TVS CUP & VB Series) before he didn't play much in SRI & got injured in zimbabwe & didn't get another chance to play for australia...
Never thought I'd see anyone defend Brad Williams. :-O

Brad Williams had some ability, and he was a success in ODIs for the most part. He and Bracken were superb in the TVS cup in India.

But no, he wasn't a great selection for the Australian team, ahead of the likes of Kasprowicz, Nicholson and others.

Even bigger then Ian Meckiff i find that hard to believe. Apparently they worked on his action at the academy, i guess they haven't fixed it...

The guys in the commentary box were onto him too.

Jaques does himself a massive favour today, sounds like quite an innings.

Our bowling attack is completely inadequate at the moment. Michael Clark has probably played his last match youd have to think, he doesnt have a contract this season.

What was the final score, cricket.com.au really sucks :@ , it only has the score after NSW innings.

It's really irritating....I was surprised to find the Redbacks v Bulls scores!

Why the hell isn't cricinfo covering these ING matches when it did so last week?

Not over yet - I'm listening to it on http://www.sportfm905.com/ (well, it says it's live, anyway, so don't spoil the fun). NSW 5/306, WA 6/230-odd with seven or eight overs remaining (the commentators don't mention the score too often).
