*Official* Australia vs West Indies - Frank Worrell Trophy 2022

Tbf, with the group of players we have there's none who would've made a difference to our fortunes down under. I just thought that they should've at least given a specialist spinner a go. That spinner would've probably gotten eaten alive regardless though.....
Yes, this is true. But like the great Curtly Ambrose said not too long ago, if you are good then you can perform anywhere and against any opposition.

Heck, Lyon is an off-spinner and he's not getting licks. Why can't one of our specialist spinners do better than him? We have quite an arsenal of them.

Please, the Windies don’t NEED a specialist spinner. At least thats probably the ongoing mindset since the 70’s?

Anyone interested going along to a night session make sure you book for day 1 or 2 because no guarantees day 3 night session is still going.
Remember: Micky Mouse's pink ball never lasts too long.

Confirmed now, Cummins to miss the 2nd Test, Boland comes in for him

The right call imo, Morris is an exciting prospect, his time will come, but Boland will no doubt do a typically solid reliable job

smith's going to captain though which is a disgrace

he's also not very good at it not that it'll matter (with respect to our excellent contingent of wi poasters)

His place doesn't need to be certain to captain for one Test though, surely.
It is but there is also a process where you make a vice captain who can take up the captaincy if needed and the vice captaincy should be given to someone whose place is certain and should not be facing imminent retirement

Whatever it takes!!!
Head's Shield captaincy was always great. He's the best captain in Australia IMO. I worry about giving someone whose place isn't entirely secure the captaincy full-time but as a fill-in he'd be my pick for sure.
Wasn't he one of the two vice-captains back then under Paine?

I'm definitely more comfortable with Boland as a selection, but it will be a bit of a shame to not see Morris whanging them down.

On another note, probably going to this on either day two or three. Thinking two at this stage
Would have thought you wouldn't miss a ball
