Lehmann saying that we are simply losing key moments. If by 'key moment' he means things like 'the entire last thirty overs of our innings at Brisbane' then maybe I can see his point.

Interesting to see if they go for Willey or Curran. Of course we could also get treated to the glorious sight of Ball getting smashed. I'd think Willey would have to bowl out before the 35th over.

If Lehmann is using the ''missing the key moments'' cliche, he must've taken media tips from the England test set-up then as they used that one throughout the Ashes.

This pitching the ball up strategy seems to be working much better than the banging it in strategy. I wonder if any of this gets through to Lehmann?

'It's the pace, not much sideways movement' - Clarke

That's why two of the four wickets have fallen to significant sideways movement hey?

A part of me wonders how much not having Starc bowling is helping. I know he's a great ODI bowler, moves the new ball and can be unplayable at times, but he can leak runs too.

Hazlewood and Cummins are looking really great together.

I think you may be onto something there. The fact that he's been often been bowling with a scrambled seam recently wouldn't help either, but the way he bowls it into the pitch with the new ball would wear it quicker.

I suspect the real reason for this, to some extent, is an ODI pitch isn't bone dry for once and has a bit of grass. Unlike what Clarke is saying, little to do with the pace.

Yeah, his new ball bowling hasn’t been great this series and probably for the last 18 months or so.
